In my passport there is a section stating ‘fathers’ name.
Why is that important?
Was it he who carried me for 9 months?
He who suffered the pain of pregnancy?
He who gave birth to me?
Why is his name stated in my passport and not my brave, strong mother?

Boys don’t need to fight for reputation and respect.

She might need to visit an unlicensed surgeon in an unofficial clinic to restore her hymen, before she can remove her husband-to-be’s name from her national ID.
Speak up.
She will be denied divorce if she is pregnant.
Speak up.
She would have to fight for custody.
Speak up.
She is second hand after divorce, discarded.
Left out for the bin men.
When did women become so insignificant?
Merely a procession Replaceable.
Women of Persia lead armies Built governments.
Women were worshipped.
Respected.
Paid equal.
Equal to men.
